"Guests who present themselves
are to be welcomed as Christ Himself.”
--St. Benedict
St. Benedict has a good point! The church was never intended
to operate as a private club for the chosen few; rather, its doors are open for everyone and to everyone.
At
St. Luke's & Our Saviour, we welcome the faithful, the seeker and the doubter, for God's embrace is wide and God's Good
News is for all! We hope to welcome each person who comes our way as we would welcome Jesus Himself, for God often comes under
the appearance of a stranger.
Our faith community is an eclectic, happy mix of people with differing backgrounds and
perspectives, united together in a common love of God and a love for our neighbors. Chances are, there's someone like you
at St. Luke's & Our Saviour. We are single, married with kids, divorced, remarried, empty nesters, widowed, old,
young, you name it. The People of St. Luke's & Our Saviour reflect all sorts of backgrounds, abilities,
and beliefs, just like any large family.
And our welcome
in God's name doesn't end when you are greeted at our front door. Since St. Luke's & Our Saviour is God's house,
not ours, all persons are welcome to receive the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Holy Baptism at St. Luke's & Our
Saviour, not just Episcopalians or Lutherans.
You’ll find that St. Luke's & Our Saviour is
a place where you really matter—because you matter to God.
We know that visiting
and worshipping in a new place can be a little daunting, so feel free to ask for help or guidance about what book to use or
where to go.
So feel free to simply
to blend in, to check things out, and to get to know us at your own pace. We are a small and friendly bunch here at St.
Luke's & Our Saviour. When you are ready to get connected with our many ministries and programs, we are always delighted
to help you find your way. We invite you to participate in whatever level makes you comfortable!
Whether you’re just starting to ask
questions about God, or you're a committed Christian who wants to delve deeper into a relationship with Christ, or a doubter
trying to get things straightened out for sure in your own mind, there's a place for you at St. Luke's & Our
Saviour.
We are a small church,
seeking to reach out and make a meaningful impact on the lives of the people in the community around us. We seek to offer
inspiring worship, close-knit friendships, a community of constant prayer, and committed outreach out to the
poor and the outcast.
If there's any way we can make you feel more at
home, please do not hesitate to let our leadership or any member of our community know.
